Henry Winter

Born in 1897 in Newcastle, he was working as a farm labourer before he joined the 13th Battalion DLI and fought on the Western Front. After the Great War he worked as a miner until his retirement. During WW2, he served as an ARP warden. Henry Winter died in 1980 aged 83.
